               HutAGENDA 1 - Membership

Item 1- New Enquiry

Shaun Anderson has submitted his son's application for junior membership. It is motioned and approved for the admission to junior member.

Item 2 - Existing Membership and Change of Address

Yoshihiro Murakami - has resigned as from 2007 as he has permanently relocated back to Japan. His new email address is yurachan@yahoo.co.jp for any correspondences.

Les Metcalfe - as from 2006 relocated to Singapore and has applied for an overseas membership from 2007.

AGENDA 2 - Tournaments

 Item 1 - Tournaments
 Overseas Tournament:
21st Marlin World Cup in Mauritius - 16 to 22 February 2007. Unfortunately no team was raised to attend

PGFF, Cagayan Tournament : 15 - 22 May 2007

MSFC is invited by the PGFF to fish in the Cagayan tournament between 15 ˇV 22 May 2007. The Club did pretty well back in 2005 where Carmine, Claude, Ralf, Vergil and Andy went. I remember they won a few prizes too. Last year a 50kg sailfish was hooked up, local record, by the Taiwanese team.

HIBT - August 2007. Interested participants? Formerly a USD1,000 deposit has been placed to secure the participation because it has been a very popular fishing tournament and still is, however the Club has long since saw any members participated in this tournament. From general consensus that the lack of interest in this tournament is due to price, duration of tournament and distance. The Treasurer has motioned to withdraw the said deposit for the safe keeping by the Club.

Phuket Tournament [     ] November 2007, interested parties are [       ]. For details please visit www.phuketsportfishing.com. Interested party please contact [     ].

 Local tournament:

[previous year - 13th May 2006 - MSFC vs CWB. Unfortunately it was cancelled due to inclement weather and will be rescheduled. ]

 Recreational Fishing:

Reservoir fly fishing. Philip Yung has been trying some fly fishing at Plover Cove.

Taiwan jigging trip - Philip Yung has been invited to a live on board jigging trip north of Taiwan. (Update - cancelled and reschedule to late September to Sprately Islands)

Squid fishing. Carmine and Philip ventured out during the Chinese new year but without success.

Members with boat have been going out of Hong Kong for recreational fishing with lots of success, interested party please contact them if they are want to go out to do fun fishing.

 Item 2 - Merchadise

A survey of members' preference on merchandise indicates as follows:

 Hats
T-shirts - with good design
Polo shirts - with pockets, MSFC logo
Towels
Jackets - Gortex blue and red
Drinks cooler
It is decided fishing shirt and caps are the 2 most important items to be replaced. The Club still has stock of the Club badge and they could be sew onto any ready made cap or shirt merchandise on the available market. Sizes is always a headache for a small quantity ordering especially for the Club. It is suggested we collectively order from a ready made merchandise web site such as Columbia, AFTCO or IGFA and again have the logos embroiled onto then after. Alternatively the Club can have customer made designs such as with a Hong Kong emblem. Carmine and Philip will source and quote prices to be discussed.
On going.
